Hey Girl! I see how you’re so creative and passionate about what you do with the eyelid and I want to share to you some pointers on how to improve your make up skills (: Because I’m definitely a stronger make-up ‘artist’ after learning these few tricks. First, the colour choice on your recent picture post is very vibrant but the sad thing is that it looks a little like it’s going to be blown away within an hour or so. Try using an eye primer; my favorite is Urban Decay’s Eye Shadow Primer Potion, Sin edition. It really keeps the eyeshadow colour and eyeliner on longer (I never have to go to the mirror to reapply my shadow more than twice in a day). Second, you want to start with a light colour, neutral colour on your lid to brighten your eyes. After that, you can pile on colours starting with the lightest to the darkest. Don’t forget to blend! It can create that smokey look and will definitely create a clean piece of artwork. Third, I can see some of the shadow got onto your pretty eyelashes ): That’s no fun! Try minimizing the amount of eyeshadow you dab with your brush. To apply with a little more control, its better to just dab the lid from the bottom up rather than taking the brush and stroking it upwards. Doing so will leave much more colour on the lid and will decrease the risk of losing control of where the colour is. Lastly, I’m not sure if you know this as most girls don’t but I’ll tell you the secret to creating longer lashes: after using your eyelash curler, take your mascara and wiggle from lashes closes to the lid and the stroke it up. WIGGLE, STROKE! It definitely defines your eyelashes as it also makes it “pop”. Hehe, I hope this helps! I started putting on make-up Junior year and it wasn’t until this year as a freshman in college do I know all these little secrets.. I hope it helps you as much as it helped me.. I’m still a student but its always nice to pass on what I know to someone else. ^.^ Have fun and I hope this helped in someway!

Thank you so much for these ideas! However, I do use primer and base. The shadow was put there intentionally to add flavor to the piece and I always do the wiggle and stroke step. But thank you for actually taking the time to leave me a message because you actually visited my sight and read something. I truly appreciate it!
