Dear Humanity, My Sunday Sucked. How was yours?

So like usual, I was judging too early how the rest of Sunday was going to go. Dad came to pick us up from my aunt’s right after my cousin JC came over, who I haven’t seen in forever. The world outside the house was like a winter wonderland, it was as if the sky had opened up and then just dump snow across the nation. I don’t know about anywhere else, but we had 10 inches of snow on Sunday. 10 inches! So, you already know that people can’t drive in the rain let alone 10 inches of snow, so the roads were super trecherous!

We make it safely from my aunt’s house to the hill that leads to our neighborhood. This hill is huge and completely covered in snow, and we are driving in our dad’s Mazda, not my mom’s jimmy. So I am freaking out completely on the inside praying that we make it up the hill. I prayed to both gods. Is that sacriligous? *shrug* Either way, it didn’t work and we started to swerve going up the hill. So dad keeps trying to rev it up the hill when all of a sudden we suddenly start going backwards.

So with my eyes wide, I’m like DAD! You have to park it and we have to figure something else out. So, he parks the car, and I can tell that he is above the highest level of pissed. He makes sure that it isn’t going anywhere and he runs from the hill to our house, which is only like around the corner.  So, because I hate heights, I am quadruple freaking out on the inside, and my sister is starting to get worried.

The one thing about my younger sister is that she is the most melodramatic person you will ever meet. I knew if that she started to realize just how bad the situation was, she was going to have a heart attack. So, I’m holding her hand, letting her know that everything is okay, while we wait for my dad to come back. He comes back with two shovels. He starts to shovel the hill in front of us, when this white car comes weaving down the hill, I’m Staring at the car, daring it to fucking hit us.

–>> I have to insert something here.  Even though, I have a knack for artistically filling my blog entries with creative profanity, I don’t often curse in person. This is not one of those cases.

So, I start yelling obsenities at this car, which realizes his mistake a minute before its too late and swerves to the opposite side, straight into the snowbank. Dumbass. Then this person. Continues to drive, with one set of wheels on the hill and the other side on the snow bank, he must have had one hell of a guardian angel, because I have no idea, how he made it back safely onto the roads and continued on his way.

Dad finishes with the patch in front of us, He grabs the shovels, puts them in the back seats with my sister and we drive a little further. At this point I’m feeling like the little engine that could. Totally revving on my dad’s ancient car. We get almost over the top of the hill when it stalls again. Dad quickly puts it into Park and begins again his shoveling routine.

Then the stupidity begins. People, tired of just waiting behind us, decide to start driving around us. Some idiot in the maroon car, decides to go the opposite way to get around us, only to almost run into a car going the right way to get down. So they have to stop. Then My dad who is outside, shoveling the street, is like “YOU HAVE TO STOP! MY CHILDREN ARE IN THE CAR!” and Gianna breaks. She starts bawling and I’m a sympathetic crier, so of course I join in. Then since that (left) side is clogged up, people start going on the right side of the road, I.E. The sidewalk, where all the SNOW is. A purple and Green car come this way and just totally pass us by.

You would think that people would think “Hey. They aren’t blocking the road because they are ignorant black people! There must be a reason their car is in the middle of the Snow covered hill with their HAZARDS ON!” But of course not, they just drive idly by, offering no help what so ever, and some bitch almost ran into the car. I swear, if she would have collided with us, I would have made sure that both my left and right fists collided with her fucking face.

Then by some sheer sense of decency, a white truck with snow tires, pulls up on the right side of us, asks if we need help and then pulls in front of us. They grab a hose-like wire, and connect it to the front bumper of my dad’s car, and pulls us to safety. Those two men, in that huge white truck are what renew my faith in humanity.  Every time I want to give up, I run into someone that is like “Hey, we’re still here, we’re few in numbers, but that doesn’t mean we don’t care. ”

*tear* This one is definitely filed under the most terrifying event of my life so far. In better news, the Makeup Monday for Kiss and Makeup has been posted. Here’s the link.

My sister had her concert tonight, She had a solo, she performed very well. I was very proud of her. Middle Schoolers just keep getting smaller and smaller. It must be something in the milk. Gianna being the amazing sport that she is, allowed me to make her up for the concert. She is not a fan of makeup. We’re so different yet we get along so well. It must be a sister thing.

Tomorrow (later on today) I have dance Practice. Hopefully, I will be able to dance at this basketball game, on Friday. It’s a boys game and Ray is now single…There’s no problem with letting him know I’m interested right? Saturday, is the Christmas Party, and I’m trying to figure out what my white elephant gift is going to be. Any Ideas?

I also plan on turning on my phone and picking up the fabric for my heartless bag.

Peace.
