I personally never got a DS. When Pokemon White/Black came out I decided I really wanted one. However, since the 3DS is going to be out in a matter of 8 days, I just decided to pre-order it instead of getting a DS, DSi, or DSi XL. I know its more expensive, but ultimately I will be set for the long run. I would suggest the same. As for going back and getting other games, I decided I am pretty sure I am going to go back and get Heart Gold/Soul Silver. The reason I dont want Pearl/Diamond is that I heard it was kind of crappy, and I didn’t personally like what I saw of the animations. It looked like a reinvented version of Sapphire and Ruby.
