Is thinking about starting up dance classes again. I stopped senior year because getting college prepared was just too much stress on little ole’ me. But I really miss it. Then I found the dance team! And those first weeks, I was soo excited. A bunch of girls, my age (for a change) who enjoyed dancing? I mean it was a nice change of pace.
But apparently, dance in college is the same thing as dance in elementary on up. A popularity contest, full of masks on parade. I’ve never met a more unwelcoming group in my life. Ya know, we had a christmas party. Everyone was supposed to bring two presents. One for their secret santa and one for another person in the group. Even though, I knew I wasn’t going to be at the party I stayed up late to make sure that my contribution was fulfilled. I have yet to receive my two gifts. What a way to show companionship right?
But since my work schedule is so wonky. I’m just thinking about going downtown and just taking like ballet and tap technique classes again. I want some more contemporary teachers though. I’m tired of Madame Buoguoiese’s and Ms Lizzie’s. I want someone who has a dance background and an open mind. I wonder how hard that’ll be to find?
