She’s hit the nail on the head here. I remember when quite a scathing blog post was made about me (on a website they admitted to starting up because of me nonetheless,) where they said people only care about what I say because of my ‘fuckability.’ Never mind the actual success I’ve met based on skill or anything. Nope.
Seriously, in the writing world (especially on the internet) this is rampant. I don’t think I’ve met one successful woman who hasn’t been accused of this (usually right after she’s called ugly or a whore, surprisingly.)
