It’s ok, we’re all mad here.

The last week has been mad stressful. I know I have been neglecting my tumblr, so I decided to tell you about it! On Tuesday, My roommate, by no fault of her own, occured second degree burns to her forearm, in a rush to get her to the hospital, I wound up missing class (it was the 12th which means class was canceled due to Veteran’s Day, but of course at that time, I didn’t know that.) Then I worked all day Wednesday and then Thursday, I was taking her to a follow up appointment, to get a back to work notice, everything was going fine, until I got back to the car. I had parked, in my haste (slightly offkilter,) and didn’t return the streering wheel back to the straight position, so when we got out of the doctor’s office, the Freaking car wouldn’t start. So then I had to call my father, to get it started, which is when I realized that my cellular phone was NOT working! Apparently, the towers for my provider was down…JUST AWESOME! So then I go about my day, and take her to the job to get her new work schedule, only for them to tell her that she can’t work until the 21st! She’s depressed, I’m upset, and then we go on our merry way. So then I decide to pick up a shift on Friday, and I wind up working a double, only to have My roommate call me and let me know that the electricity went out! So then I’m working on trying to figure out what happened, when she calls me back and lets me know that Duke has shut off our Electricity. We pay $650 a month for rent, and have been there since August and had never received a letter, a bill or a notice of shut off, nothing, in fact, We hadn’t received a bill since we moved in, which led me to assume that the landlord was taking care of the electricity in the amount of rent we were paying them. Of course, that is not the case, and then on top of all of this, I can’t actually talk to an individual because Stupid DUKE has a completely automated system that takes me ten minutes to decipher and the actually reach someone who can help me. So, it turns out that the previous tennant never shut off the power, and so it was still in her name, which is why we weren’t getting any mail. After all of this ridiculousness ensued, three things occurred. 1. I officially have electricity in my apartment. 2. I officially have a boyfriend. 3. I offically am averaging an A in my Criminal Justice Course.

Til my next Angst filled time,

~Gabriella~
