Novels #40: O.W.L.S. 2

Hey Gang!

I’ve made some serious headway in my Readathon TBR and I wanna tell you about it!~ So Friday, I finished reading Ricochet, and moved onto a few of the other novels on my list. On Sunday, Easter for most people, I spent with my family, eating ham and finishing the binge of Terrace House. When I came home, I hunkered down, and wound up completing my second book!

The Second book I finished was Tightrope by Amanda Quick, which I had started reading at the beginning of the month before I even found out about the Owls. I was in love and really trying to slow down the amount of time I spent reading the book because I didn’t want it to end. I chose it for Astronomy since I can only read the book at night, but that only gave me a couple more days.

Tightrope was so so good, that I went online and put holds on the rest of the series, I’m not sure why I keep ending up in the middle of series, but I’m hoping that it keeps the same pace, because Amelie is my new favorite female character, and I definitely want more of her.

Currently, I’m working on A Study In Brimstone, and just reached chapter 9. I started The Trap by Melanie Raabe, which is my Charms Exam, and I’m on chapter 9 as well. Although I’m liking it, I have some thoughts about it that I’ve never had before. It was translated to English from German, and although the translation is really good, the prose is foreign.

I find myself subconciously substituting words that make more sense from an English as primary language point of view, which is slowing me down, because i’m going back to sentences to know what they actually said, instead of what my brain thinks is better.

What are you reading this week?

Lets talk about it on Twitter and Goodreads!
