Scooby Week #2: Inspired Outfits

Hey Gang,

Today, I thought it would be super cute to put together a few outfits inspired by our intrepid mystery solvers. All the outfits came from clothing I already owned, and I tried to do outfits I could see the essence of them in my outfits, and not necessarily carbon copies like a closet cosplay would be.

I wanted to include Googie, as well, but ran out of time, so I’ll post that one on instagram, since thats the place where most of my outfit posts go anyway.

So I want to start with Shaggy, as his was actually accidental and helped give me the idea for this! So to put Shaggy together, I used a light lime Green Lace top and tan flared pants I got from Walmart. I think it looks a lot like the character, but still keeps the feminine flair I like to enjoy in my wardrobe.

Next up is Fred, Now since this isnt the first time I’ve ever dressed as a femminine Fred, I knew I had this one in the bag. I used a lace See through Crop top, from amazon, a pair of boyfriend jeans from my mother, that she more than likely got from Lane Bryant, and an orange ascot I actually bought for the other costume, and wore it in my hair. The end results in something that is super feminine and super 60’s , with a hint of modern. It’s tied with Daphne for my favorite look.

Daphne Blake, is probably the most sophisticated I’ve ever felt in my entire life. I love the purple dress that I used, a simple keyhole opening in the chest, and pockets which is always nice, I paired it with a forest green beret, which is the only hats able to tame my natural curls. Both of which I got from Amazon.

Velma, I feel like is the most recognized of all the outfits. With a yellow top from Target, and a red skirt I picked up from Amazon, which comes with pockets! I wore orange socks, from Target, to pull together the look and finished it up with my blue filter glasses.

Scooby Doo finishes out my inspired series. I don’t wear a lot of brown, so I tried to get as close as possible with a maroon outfit. I thought I would mix a feminine top, and a comfy pair of joggers. With Scooby always on the go, I thought the joggers would be perfect, especially since they have pockets! The bottoms and the top were both from Rue 21.

Have you incorporated any fictional characters styles into your own?

Lets talk about it on twitter!

Until Next time,

Moriartie
