DNFed at 17%. You can have a dose of realism in your novel but why is it that when novels feature black characters the racism is always so heavy? The self hatred is always heavy too. I just want novels like everyone else. Didn’t even make it in 2 full chapters before the n word was used. I’m just so tired of this being the only kind of representation in media we get.
