Welcome back!
Time is a ball of wimbly wombly things and I’m having trouble keeping track of it okay! I know we’re hitting the middle of may and I know that I’m currently about to combine 2 months of reading into one wrap up, but let’s not be distracted from the goal right! Between these two months I read 18 books and while I haven’t been able to surpass the original high of finishing more than 21 books in the month like I did in January. Let’s be honest with ourselves, it was a different world in January and my brain knows that.

March was full of 5 stars it was a great reading month. Since it was mostly arcs, you kind of already know what I was into but Boys with Sharp Teeth are still on my mind. Of the 10 books I put away 4 were arcs. 2025 has been a pretty Arc centric reading year honestly. In the middle of May and I’ve already read 9 arcs. Another stand out Novel for March was A Portrait of A Shadow, I just wasn’t prepared for how much this book was mess with my soul and I highly highly recommend it.

April was pretty fast month, I blinked it was April, I blinked again and it was MAY! I had a few arcs coming out this month but I had to make space for my girl Nancy! She was turning 96 this year and I thought I had more time than I did and set aside an entire week for her! I only managed to finish 3 Case Files but that’s three more books off my gigantic TBR so got to be excited about taking that down some.

April was also the month of my 2nd buddy read with my pal Sarah and I was able to read two of the books that I’d been looking forward too for a while. Night Shade I was so excited about and was enjoying literally until 90% when they just decided to lose their ever loving mind. I’ll be coming back for the 2nd one because now I HAVE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED! How To Seal Your Own Fate was a sequel, and I was so enthralled with the first one that when I saw it pop up on NetGalley the request was immediate. I didn’t like it as much as the 1st one unfortunately but I am looking forward to seeing what is next for Annie and the crew.

I’m excited to bring back hopefuls this year, and have decided that a little regimen hasn’t personally hurt me. This year for the first few months I was just mood reading on top of the arcs that were being released the upcoming month and while it isn’t hurting, it surely isn’t helping. I think I get a bit distracted by whats available and then I forget about a few things. So keep a look out for June Hopefuls which will be coming soon.
Did you read anything good in March and April? Leave your fave’s down below! Love getting recommendations from you guys!
Until Next Time,
Gabs
