Today is cause for celebration! About a week ago I completed my reading goal for the year. Every year for the last three years, I’ve set a goal of how many books I would like to finish. When I got back into reading in 2017, I joined Goodreads and that kept track of my goal. My first time consecutively finishing my goal was 2022 and it felt so good I just kept going.
I hit book 80 for the year towards the end of June. The inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. This is the second series from her I started and wound up loving! I gave Inheritance Games 4.75 carrots! She has another series out and I own the first two books in that series as well; The Ruling Class and Lessons in Power.
Since the goal for the year was 80, I made a few other smaller reading goals I wanted to accomplish as well. Grow my Booktube to 50 subscribers, Read 25 books I own, and Read 3 translated novels. I always try to add a few physical books that I own into my year goal, because it’s been steadily growing since I started reading arcs in 2023.
