Happy New Year!
I’m so excited for a new set of 365 days full of reading, finding new books and experiencing new things. I’ve decided to change a few things in terms of how organized and regimented my reading will be this year.
My reading goal is 40. It’s something I can accomplish organically, so I can focus on finding books that I’ll love instead of trying to fit something in by the deadline.
I’ve tried both monthly TBR’s and monthly hopefuls and neither were very successful this year. I only completed one monthly readathon. So this year I’m trying something completely different.
This year I’m doing what I like to call Buzzword Monthlies. I’ve made a list of buzzwords that a book I enjoy normally has; I’m going to put them in a spinning wheel, and whatever the buzzword is determines the kind of books I read that month. I will be starting this in February so I can have more time to come up with buzzwords.
I’m still finalizing the list of buzz words, but I’ve fully accepted that I’m a mood reader and I’m not forcing myself to do anything I’m not super into this year. I’d like at least a few of the buzzwords to encompass the books I have at home. So this will help me to start working through my physical library. Especially after this most recent count of 494 unread novels.
I want to focus a bit more on introducing my audience to new novels. Novels about to be released and new/indie authors they may not have heard of. With a renewed focus on Arcs and upcoming novels. I’d also like to bring back my A Chat With Series, where I interviewed illustrators and writers.
I also really want to build up my community and maybe even start the book club that I’ve been talking about for the last couple of years. I’d also like to continue growing my YouTube channel as well.
Do you have any plans for the new year? Anything you’re looking forward too? Drop em down below?
Until Next Time,
Gabs
