Hello! This is my first entry and the first day that I have off. Which is nice, since I spent the whole day sleeping anyway. The bus ride to Kingsy is extremely long. I was a few minutes late for my shift, but over all it wasn’t too bad. Michael, the manager, is really nice, he helped us all get to our working locations.
I thought it would be a lot of work, and I was right! I scrubbed, scrubbed, restocked, scrubbed and when I was done with that I was pouring waters. When it finally hit seven I was so excited! Then mom called to let me know that she was waiting for me in the parking lot, which was probably one of the best pieces of news I’d heard that day because that meant I would NOT have to ride it back home! But I think the best piece of my day was when Masai met me downtown! It was so sweet, he stayed with me, while I waited for the bus to come, because it was my first time.
I can totally see why it was tho, downtown people are crazy! He and I were just like posted up against the wall waiting for the bus to come, and this woman comes up next to us, looks at us, hands us a pamphlet about god, goes on and on about young love, and starts singing hakuna Matata as she skips down the street! And I am totally NOT joking you! Masai and I were so weak, we almost didn’t see the bus!
The job really isn’t bad, just very very greasy! I was slipping and sliding the whole entire time! The bus ride to Kingsy wasn’t very long at all, it was just the worry that it would be late or the worry that I’d already missed it. But I think that’s all I have to say on that subject, so will all due respect.
